Python Job: Python Support Engineer

Position Description:

CGI is looking for a Python Support Engineer to join our team.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Build a strong relationship with development teams to understand the code, its dependencies, and the infrastructure on which it runs.
• Contribute to functional and technical specifications according to internal guidelines
• Provide technical support, guidance and educate end users.
• Python development.
• Scripting development.
• Produce high value documentation (design documentation, administration guide, deployment guide)
• Work with platform Admin Team on platform monitoring and maintenance.
• Contribute to process automation

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Proficiency in Python development
• Knowledge and exposure of Container technology and orchestration Docker, Kubernetes.
• REST API (REST/JSON)
• Autonomous, rigorous with a high personal commitment
• Ability to multitask, work well under pressure and prioritize work against competing deadlines and changing business priorities.
• English (Fluent)

• French fluency is desirable not mandatory;
• Experience in Web development. HTML, CSS, JavaScript Frameworks
• Knowledge of cloud-based technologies and tools such as Ansible, Elasticsearch, Grafana.
• Strong understanding and experience operating in an agile development environment
